All signs point to a third try by US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to destroy the Iranian regime shortly after the November 3 US midterms, if not before.
US War Secretary Pete Hegseth recently met in Israel with Netanyahu almost certainly to discuss upcoming attack plans.
In a rare meeting, Brad Cooper, head of US Central Command, visited the White House on Thursday to brief President Trump on military options for attacking Iran. Joining Cooper were Hegseth and Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. All three are virulent war hawks likely encouraging Trump who’s long boasted about destroying the Iranian civilization along with their Islamic leadership.
Senator Chris Murphy, after being briefed on the US plan to launch Iran war 3.0 made this astounding statement never before uttered by a US congressperson:
“I’ll just say this, their plan is insane, It will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law.”
Forget ‘destruction to the rule of law’ for the US and Isreal. Both destroyed that decades ago attacking countries, changing out regimes like changing underwear, interfering in elections, and worst of all, cooperating on genocide destroying life for 2,2000,000 Palestinians in Gaza.
But it will surely bring ‘devastating escalation’ to US, Israeli efforts to continue ruling the world. Iran has had over four months to prepare for the near certainty of round three of the criminal US Israeli tag team to oust the only country standing between them and absolute rule in the Middle East and beyond. Iran will likely polish off what remains of US Gulf State bases, destroy most if not all of remaining Gulf State oil infrastructure and reap devastating damage to the now vulnerable Israeli nation. If that occurs, we cannot rule out Israel, even the US resorting to nuclear weapons to avoid catastrophic defeat.
What is truly remarkable is only one of 535 congresspersons even has their hair on fire over what Trump and Netanyahu may ignite within the next few days.

Everybody’s hair will be on fire, whether they like it or not.Future historians will chisel this period of history on the walls inside their caves, when they’re not too busy eating one another.
The most important strategic question is not simply whether another US-Israeli attack on Iran is imminent, but whether those considering such an operation have adequately assessed the consequences beyond the initial military objectives.
A military strike may achieve immediate tactical effects, but tactical success does not automatically produce strategic victory. The decisive assessment must include Iran’s capacity to respond, the vulnerability of regional infrastructure, the security implications for neighbouring states, the disruption of energy flows, and the possibility that escalation could extend far beyond the original theatre of operations.
There is also a fundamental distinction between destroying military assets and changing a political system. The former may be attempted through military force; the latter involves complex political, social, institutional, and regional dynamics that cannot be resolved by air power alone.
From a field-informed strategic perspective, the critical issue is the interaction between assumptions, decisions, actions, field responses, adaptation, and eventual outcomes. Every actor must be assessed not only by its capacity to initiate pressure, but also by its ability to absorb retaliation, sustain costs, preserve freedom of action, and control escalation.
Predictions of an imminent attack or nuclear escalation should be treated as scenarios requiring evidence, not as established facts. Nevertheless, the strategic risks deserve serious examination.
The central lesson is that the opening strike does not determine the final outcome. What matters is the chain of reactions it sets in motion—and whether those who initiate it retain control over the consequences.
Netanyahu is apparently heading up a Caretaker Government (has he actually been appointed caretaker ?) following the inconclusive election outcome and this would allow him to engage in acts of self defence but only with the full approval of the Knesset.
I rarely publicise articles from Russian outlets, for two reasons.
First, I look at them only 4 or 5 times a year, sometimes less.
Second, the mere mention of Russian media can provoke irrational outbursts from victims of US propaganda.
But the following popped up in the comments to a blog elsewhere, just a couple of days ago.
It has relevance to the comment by Walt about the possibility of nuclear weapons being used in West Asia.
With insiders in the US pushing for this, and outsiders in Russia almost as bad in regard to Ukraine, serious people in Russia are reminding us all of the consequences of such madness.
The “Tsar Bomba,” officially known as AN602, was the largest nuclear bomb ever detonated. Developed by the Soviet Union, it was tested on October 30, 1961, over the Novaya Zemlya archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. This thermonuclear device had a yield of 50 megatons, equivalent to 3,800 times the power of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
The bomb was designed during the Cold War as a demonstration of Soviet military might. Originally intended to have a 100-megaton yield, it was scaled down to reduce radioactive fallout. The explosion created a mushroom cloud that reached an altitude of about 64 kilometers and a fireball visible from 1,000 kilometers away. The shockwave circled the Earth three times.
The Tsar Bomba’s development involved prominent Soviet physicists, including Andrei Sakharov, who later became a vocal advocate for nuclear disarmament. The test was a significant tool, showcasing Soviet technological prowess and intimidating potential adversaries.
Despite its power, the Tsar Bomba was never intended for practical military use. It highlighted the destructive potential of nuclear weapons and contributed to subsequent arms control discussions.
The legacy of the Tsar Bomba remains a stark reminder of the Cold War’s nuclear brinkmanship. It serves as a historical example of extreme military escalation and continues to be studied for its scientific and geopolitical implications. The test underscored the urgent need for international efforts toward nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
Today, many Russian experts are calling for another demonstration, as the world appears to have forgotten the devastating effects of this horrific weapon and continues to test the limits of Russia’s patience.

With crazies of adolescent mentality in control across Europe, the Russians are right to be concerned.
Europe is clamouring for outright war with Russia.
It’s got so ridiculous that the UK is telling people to stock up on essentials.
We are on the brink, and if nukes are used on Iran, the madness will go global immediately.
As Wahidullah Noorzai points out, “the opening strike does not determine the final outcome. What matters is the chain of reactions it sets in motion—and whether those who initiate it retain control over the consequences.”
