Dawe: Good evening. Our special guest tonight is Grok, here to discuss recent events. Grok, who was Father Charles Coughlin?
Grok: A Catholic priest in the 1930s. Began with populist sermons, ended up spouting antisemitism and praising fascists. Silenced eventually for being too extreme.
Dawe: And what do we call that sort of blend of religion and authoritarian politics?
Grok: Christian nationalism, often described by scholars as Christofascism.
Dawe: Ah. And Charlie Kirk?
Grok: Similar trajectory. Started as a conservative youth figure. Ended up demanding laws enforce evangelical values, scapegoating minorities, and calling for a Christian America. That’s Christofascism.
Dawe: A martyr, then?
Grok: No. Martyrs die for faith, not for political domination. Kirk was no martyr.
Dawe: And who turned up at his funeral?
Grok: Donald Trump, who eulogised him as a martyr. Elon Musk, who amplified it to 95,000 people in the stadium and millions more online.
Dawe: So, politics, money, and theology – together. What do you call that?
Grok: Christofascism. Textbook.
Dawe: Thank you, Grok. And that’s all we have time for tonight.

the septic gun laws began in the fear of george’s boys re-coming but there are lots of little issues in the mix of the gun laws. I love the 1862, with blacks, and the legal switch from militia justification to individual.
Kirk’s xstianity accepts the school killings as being part of payment for the gun laws being protected from challenge. Until Gaza, I would have thought jesus didn’t carry an AK40.
My xstian friends and relatives not only support israeli killing women and children but believe muslims killing israeli babies is worse than israelis killing muslim babies. Wow!!! xstian rationalisation of war deaths under the pressure of guilt in germany???
