A year or so on from my second article, concerning a $5 bet I hold that the USA was going to fall into civil war under Trump; I sit on the precipice of claiming my bet.
Maybe I grow tired of trying to be honest to the Americans. Simple statements such as ‘don’t go to war in Afghanistan – it’s a really bad idea”, did not seem to hold much sway over the American imagination. In fact that article I believe annoyed them.
Other stories I wrote said that Trump is a dangerous fool. This did not stop them voting him in, or rather not voting a black women in.
It has become concerning for me since the rest of the world was yelling Trump was a Russian agent of influence and no level of American society seemed to believe it. It is concerning that my next bet may be my final one due to a Republican middle-class deciding God is real instead facing up to reality’s of life. But so be it.
In the end what annoys me most about the whole Trump deal is that I am having to write about the bloated jelly-fish of a man Trump again.
However, a friend asked my opinion of the future last Saturday and I was very upbeat. Mid-term elections are coming up and Trump will be indited and will be sent to jail. This seemed unlikely to my friend but I have faith. As Winston Churchill said, Americans tend to try everything before eventually doing the right thing.

Trump will continue to do what he likes, the fact is the world lacks the will or ability to stop him. To think one man and a divided country could hold the whole world to ransom!!
A global society engulfed by apathy and inertia, we’ll soon be too tired to get out of bed.
Once the vainglory and lies are stripped away and all thats left is an obese manbaby in a dirty nappy the utter humiliation will be complete!

Until enough politicians on the hill – of either side – grow the balls to realise what a danger to the world he is, not just the USA, the decline to authoritarianism will continue and there may not BE any midterms.

I think Donald has already warned us about his intention “to flood the world with shit”, which is precisely what is going on now.
Its not novel because I worked with a guy years ago using the same tactic, and he never gave anyone a chance to make him accountable for nonsense.
Americans are a bit stupid for allowing this imbecile to keep crashing on the way he does, and not reading the riot act.
It would never happen here?! Apart from Scomo, and……
Next delusional belief held by many Americans is mid term elections; the chances of these going ahead without hindrance are zero….
