I’m Let’s be done with the pretence of decency and soggy references to just resolution in the face of extreme circumstances. Be done with the hilarious stage acts of referring to legal doctrines that either do not exist or cannot exist in the bloodied context they are being forced to refer to. The State of Israel is intent, with every arm, administrative faculty and office bearer of consequence, to achieve ethnic effacing and utopic bliss with the removal of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank, with the former going first.
Speaking on September 2 at a conference organised by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz returned to a theme so rapidly hardening it is likely to ossify at any given moment: that a Gaza filled with Palestinians is not a tenable proposition from the perspective of his country’s interests. Whatever dubious tag is attached – immigration, migration, or depopulation – the current populace could simply not remain. “In the end, there is no real solution for Gaza without this migration.” The emigration of Palestinians would take place “by any means” (“by sea, by air, by every way possible”), the process having only been put on ice by US President Donald Trump.
It had been one of those moments of mental arrest, but Trump engendered a sharp frisson in the ranks of the Netanyahu government with his February 2025 proposal to relocate the residents of Gaza. Once done, developers and builders could come in and turn the strip into a tourist destination replete with the vulgar fripperies typical of such resorts. By October 2025, Trump’s peace plan envisaged something else; the relocation-development scheme seemed to have not so much stalled as died in its sleep, with the promise that the residents could stay and engage in the process of rebuilding the devastated territory. Point 12 of the plan is explicit on this: “No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to do so and free to return. We will encourage people to stay and offer them the opportunity to build a better Gaza.” Not so, according to Katz. “The [depopulation] plan hasn’t been cancelled; it is being discussed all the time, even now, and I think there is no other solution for everyone’s good.”
When asked when this odious object might be facilitated, Katz airily suggested that the conduct of Hamas could be the catalyst, notably “when it becomes clear that [it] is not fulfilling its commitment[s]” under US peace plans. “Then we will get a green light to advance militarily, territorially, and in other areas as well.”
During a visit to an IDF post close to the Yellow Line demarcating Israel’s area of control from the rest of the Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared his firm intentions. “We are not withdrawing,” he stated in a video message distributed by his office. “We are staying on this line. We control 60% of the Strip. And there is still more to come, because we are eliminating the terrorists who threaten us – we do this day in and day out.”
Gallingly, Katz had the temerity to suggest that the Gazans wished to leave – some 80% – making passing reference to vague, unsubstantiated surveys that had been conducted by Israeli authorities. (It’s always curious how the rabidly patriotic always assume that no other group can cling, so desperately and tenaciously, to a strip of land, whatever the cost.) If only other countries were willing to accept those apparently willing residents of Gaza, the problems would vanish. “Hamas isn’t allowing them [to leave], and there are no countries in the world taking them in. President Trump put the issue on the agenda. Now every country needs to take people in – and that’s the big issue.”
This deplorable language, condemned by US Democratic Senator for Maryland Chris Van Hollen, received a boost of patriotic umami from Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The minister tends to make a habit of going to prisons to gloat about their ruinous conditions, all the time threatening Palestinian inmates with impending death, ensuring the deprivation of basic human rights (they, the reasoning goes, do not deserve them) while encouraging the inexorable de facto annexation of the West Bank. On September 3, he also advanced his oxymoronic version of a “voluntary emigration” plan dubbed “Disengagement 710”, a nod to Israel’s exit from Gaza in 2005 and the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023.
The plan entails the removal of 250,000 Gazans in the first year, 1.11 million within three years and 1.86 million within seven. A sinister “Emigration Ministry” will oversee the process. “Instead of [Gazans] digging tunnels, it’s time to pack suitcases,” reasoned Ben-Gvir. To sweeten the abuse, emigrants would receive an “absorption package” comprising “assistance with travel, initial housing, vocational training, employment and support for up to 24 months.” Payments would also be made to recipient States.
In his remarks, Ben-Gvir also had room to draw inspiration from Trump. Ignoring the Gaza Peace Plan, the minister preferred to focus on the President’s initial proposal to “encourage emigration [as] a solution to the Gaza issue.” From being “treated as a delusional extremist,” he mused about his own standing, plans of removing Palestinians had “become legitimate. Suddenly, everyone became Ben-Gvir.”
The second part of the Palestinian eradication program involves the full assertion of sovereign control over the West Bank, though the process there is necessarily staggered, a form of slow-motion extermination of a culture and people that is taking place before an international law system petrified and mostly silent. So far, things are coming along nicely – from the settlers’ perspective. They are the spear carrying proxies for an ethnic cleansing regime. The Israeli authorities have their backs and, when they do intervene to curb any zeal, a mild slap on the wrist is the best to expect. The consistently promoted narrative is that the more violent perpetrators are errant buffoons with a death wish yet sporting a good heart, buffoons in good standing with the broader annexation drive that has been approved by the Knesset in a non-binding motion.
A word, to finish off, on the very euphemistic term “ethnic cleansing.” To say cleansing is a ghastly concession to the supposed wickedness of impurity. Something needs rinsing, the stains need removal. This application of ideological detergent assumes that there is something deficient or suspect in a race, an ethnicity or a religious group, a people, in short. It follows that what is happening to the Palestinians is ethnic in nature and not so much cleansing as eradicative.

It’s hard to know what to say when the disgust is all-consuming. There aren’t words. I see Germany have sent multi millions of dollars worth of weapons to Israel in the last 6 months. This time will pass, but hopefully not without punishment for those perpetrating Holocaust II and those who support it, either materially, politically or financially, including Australia.
The ZION@ZIS are intent upon inflicting the Gazan Holocaust upon the Indigenous Palestinian landowners to create an apartheid state between the Nile and the Euphrates Rivers where all loyal Zionist followers may practice their misogynistic beliefs without fear of interruption. Well, at least until the US owned multinational fossil fuel corporations come knocking to take the underlying oil reserves for the benefit of American motorists driving internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
The 1948 Nakba was only the first step in the US sponsored attack upon Indigenous Palestinians, and certainly not the last. Since then Palestinians have been treated worse that Polish followers of Judaism.
Meanwhile the Western world, including Australia, looks on while taking profits from armaments sales to the amoral Knesset ZION@ZIS and the amoral IDF.
Perhaps it is time for the about 117,000 Judaism followers in Australia to prove that they have no connection with 1891 imperialistic Zionism philosophy that has attempted to subsume Judaism to claim more supporters than actually occurs.
I think the solution is to assist every Jew in “Israel” to migrate to their ancestral homes in Poland, Ukraine, Russia and the USA.
Israel’s and Gaza’s population problems would be instantly resolved with the forced migration of Netanyahu, Katz, Smotrich and Ben Gvir to a remote unpopulated atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Yes! Let’s finally bell the cat. It’s all about elimination. Not cleansing. And definitely not a two state solution.
@ Max Gross, Me3diocrates: Perhaps the Nauru Solution would be appropriate.
ISRAEL’s WAR ON HUMANITY
Incrimination or association is no valid reason to target humanitarian aid, which had already received pre-arranged approval for mutual coordination with the IDF. It is entrapment, it is fascist, it is a war crime and it must not go unpunished.
In such circumstances, it is more than probable the convoy might have encountered a potential risk or threat, they didn’t and even if they had, there were no grounds for targeting the WCK aid staff, ‘assassination by incrimination’. Breaks all the international rules of engagement.
This is the IDF and Israel’s pathetic excuse and imprimatur, handed down by the same cult of their genocidal and fascist masters, the Israeli Government.
Why do we entertain this shit, did we accept this practice of the Nazis? Was it not the rule to operate with more concern and oversight with civilian movements, protection from rather than deliberate targeting. It does’t even meet the lower sub-standard of unavoidable collateral damage, unsavoury as that road is. Where is the Rule of Law here, international rules of engagement – that which separates national military conduct from a mercenary or terrorist paramilitary, civilised society from the gang or mob? This is the danger of fundamentalist ideology, religion, nationalism, racism and even modern day populism – the present day case of Zionism. This distinction is not recognised in Israeli government, culture or society. Might is right with assumed feudal sovereign divine right to rule, to wage war and commit terrorism and mass murder. It is a predatory barbaric medieval crusade!
An entirely unarmed civilian convoy was assassinated, it was known, it was unarmed, it would not even have met the IDF criteria as stated, ‘to prevent enemy-HAMAS diversion of aid or general operations’ – the agreed delivery had already been made. You’d have to be a fruitcake to not see through that Mendel and military excuse, it was malicious retribution.
The internal military investigation is an insult to the world looking on. And our governments let these criminals from the IDF visit our country, approved visas and invitations from the infested Zionist lobby in Australia, run in our Sydney marathon, as honorary guests just like Albanese and Minns hosted the Israeli President Isaac Herzog in February, while Minns boasted his pumped up chest at a ZFA rally.
We need to tackle the enemy within our country. As Mark Carney stated regarding relations with Trump USA, ‘You’re at war when you get attacked’. Israel is our enemy and we are under constant attack by Israel overseas, from overseas and within our own country. Netanyahu insults our PM and institutions, IDF come here and laugh in our faces, Zionist lobbies in Australia attack our core values and democracy – They have effectively declared war on us.. and what does our government do to protect us – trade on with Israel and Zionists regardless, invite, do nothing, defend their right to and facilitate their attack on us even in our streets at home (aka Chris Minns), and defend their continued belief and war on our society and humanity.
Guilt by association, all of us for daring to care how we treat one another. How can any reasonably minded, free thinking, ethical moral human being or civilised person stand with or by our government? How naïve, disdainful, neglectful, indifferent and apathetic can our government get? And this folks is Labor FFS.

Time for all ZION@ZIS to be exported to whatever foreign port will accept them, or else the Nauru Solution looks promising.
Nauru would be most compatible with Zionist ideology and politics – they’d get on like a house on fire, once they got used to the location and comforts of home.
Jon, we weep at this article.
It beggars belief that survivors of The Holocaust continue to persecute, demean and slay the rightful owners of this land of Palestine.
Shame, shame, shame. 😭😭😭
Thank you Jon, again I think your comment is spot on.
Speaking of The Guardian, Remember when The Guardian’s published an opinion piece calling for the Royal Commission to spend more time examining the arts and culture sector in Australia (and it just so happened to be the only opinion piece they published at the end of the commission’s hearings)? (Lamestream media)
Lamestream media reports that they got their wish, only the meetings with the Royal Commission, discussing the arts and culture sector, were held in secret backroom meetings.
Just what was said will not be able to be contested.
Apparently, who gets to participate in writer’s festivals was discussed.
Tony Abbott damaged the reputation of Royal Commissions with his political witchhunt against unions. Many already say Royal Commissions are a waste of money as few, if any, recommendations are adopted by governments. This Royal Commission is being made to look an utter farce, irredeemably so.
The narrowness of the terms of reference and letters patent, the imposition of the IHRA definition, the lack of contesting of outlandish testimony, the choice of council assisting with its association to the attorney general Michelle Rowland and Zionist associations, the process in choosing council assisting, the denial of testimony from pro-Palestinian groups that were being slandered in the hearings, were all already making the commission look a sham.
Whatever the outcome of this Royal Commission is, I for one won’t be giving it any credence.
Labor has, imo, severely damaged the credibility of Royal Commissions with this farce.
@Leona… Yes and no.
I am not certain it is the survivors nor even their immediate descendants who have taken up this position, but an elite band of post WW2 fascists who have some aberrant claim to Jewish identity, and who have terrorised the world ever since with their abhorrent Zionist ideology under the cover and defence of the holocaust and antisemitism.
Genocide is their aim, conflation their game, and vice-versa. And many of them bunkered down in Israel. This is what it has come to. They squeeze the balls of the US silo and milk the machine for land and honey, and now they’ve gone digital with their war games – virtual and literal alongside Trump, Hollywood and Silicon Valley.
It’s not what it looks like and yet it is for all to plainly see, except those who refuse to or too afraid to admit it. The unscrupulous take pleasure and power from it – Their day will come.
They all seem in fear of the Zionist lobby.
Money is important
“This is no longer a collection of isolated incidents spread across different countries. It is one continuous pattern of violence stretching from Gaza to southern Lebanon, from Sirik in Iran to Syria’s devastated towns. Children have become the most vulnerable victims of a war that continues to expand across West Asia under the framework of American and Israeli terrorism, while the world continues to witness the destruction of an entire generation.”
“Forgive me. We do not usually post images of killings, but let this lone one stand.”
“As part of its ongoing genocide in Gaza, Israel killed Wafa Youseff Aqila and her father, on her first day at school.”

Be prepared to sob.

Steve, you are forgiven – As distressing as it is for anyone with a human heart, open mind, empathy or reason, we cannot shy away from this. We must share the grief and burden, and burn with a passion to expose and stop this. We cannot let our anger and shame wane, our governments off the hook, the memory of those who suffered and had their lives stripped away. Israel as a regime and USA and their governments must be brought to justice by the international community for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Nuremberg 2.0 must happen.
I’m 67, I have grown up daughters and grandchildren and my heart aches every day since day one in as much knowing mine were safe, and my mind rages just on conduct and reason. Israel’s indiscriminate evil killing of this little girl on her first day of school, alone among each and every one, all others is a terror we cannot afford nor should we ever overlook or resign to statistics as politicians and governments do. This is the curse of Zionism in every country, the evil Israel has brought upon us all, this is not merely an ugly illegal war, it is genocide.
Albanese, that which you ignore and hesitate on, you condone. Minns, ZFA, Segal and ECAJ, that which you defend you are equally responsible for. Do not pretend to project the pretence of conflated antisemitism, racism, terrorism, violence, hate, public surveillance and intimidation on us – This is where your deadly ideology, indifference and denial ends.
I will be sharing this.
While preparing a U3A talk a decade ago, I researched zionism to accumulate facts, finding about 44 names of prominent zionists over time. Only Rabin was born in British Palestine. USA and British and many European sources and lands featured. Palestinians deserve their land. No British action herein ever seemed legal or decent. Now, all seems lost in claims of righteous supremacy, chosen race rubbish superstition, with assorted stupidities, irrationalities and fantasy from christian fairy fraud fantasy fictioneering. Save us and bless us all…and in peace.
The Israeli government may not have read the Charter of the Board of Peace:https://boardofpeace.org/charter
The commitment of the Board of Peace, in the Gaza context, is :
Total Disarmament of Militant Factions: A primary security milestone is negotiating and enforcing the total disarmament and demilitarisation of Hamas and other armed Palestinian factions.
Phased Israeli Military Withdrawal: The Board coordinates a phased withdrawal of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) from Gaza, which is structurally tied to the progress of the disarmament phase.
Deploying the International Stabilization Force (ISF): The Board is tasked with deploying a 32,000-strong multinational peacekeeping presence. This includes 20,000 ISF soldiers and 12,000 police officers sourced from partner nations (such as Albania, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Morocco) to maintain order and train a new, permanent Palestinian police force
According to the Board’s Chairman for Life, everything is going along just as Bibi wanted.
Have I missed anything ?
@TM… Methinks you being playful, that comic hat and smile beguiling. This a satirical joke right? Sure looks like it, badge or Coat of Arms included.
…and the integrity of this proposed ISF, and countries signed up to Trump’s Board of Peace? This Board of Peace… a self-appointed bunch of misfits by virtue of aligning themselves with Trump. No legitimacy or jurisdiction. None of these countries have any credible, experienced, responsible military for foreign deployment apart from USA… oops not responsible, scratch that – and that is probably the point. The establishment of a defacto US-israeli colony under US military control with half its Generals missing and itself responsible for an illegal war in Iran, war crimes, like Israel on all its borders.
This is just US and Israel’s MALICIOUS attempt to undermine the UN. It is an assault on the UN and insult to the international community, noting it excludes most countries from Europe and the Middle East – Historically, geopolitically, constitutionally, democratically and pragmatically the most relevant to be represented and collectively involved in the solution. Albania and the highly select few listed from Europe are more politically aligned with Russia than Europe.
Laughable and deplorable.
THE JOKER – Chairman, Donald Trump, self appointed has total authority to invite and fire member States, and appoint successor.
THE JOKE – The Charter insubstantial and totalitarian plutocracy as it stands – Not an ounce of democracy. Are these countries and their head of States mugs, thugs or sycophants?
As of 2026, the Board of Peace lists 27 highly selective invitee member states that have accepted invitations to participate –
Albania
Argentina
Armenia
Azerbaijan
Bahrain
Bulgaria
Cambodia
Egypt
El Salvador
Hungary
Indonesia
Israel
Jordan
Kazakhstan
Kosovo
Kuwait
Mongolia
Morocco
Pakistan
Paraguay
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Turkey (Türkiye)
United Arab Emirates
United States
Uzbekistan
Vietnam.
Curious – Did Trump invite his mates in North Korea and Venezuela… his mate in US prison?
Stephanie Tran has just reported (geez, she’s doing good work) that Labor has teamed up with the Coalition to vote down a Greens “amendment to strip tax breaks from charities funding illegal Israeli settlements and the IDF.”
This dispicable and degenirate Labor government has teamed up with an equally dispicable and degenirate Coalition to make sure that certain Australian ‘charities’ are able to support organizations that murder, rape and pillage Palestinian villages and people to steal their land.
Labor has just blocked an attempt to stop rewarding people donating to organizations that are murdering, assaulting, starving, raping and imprisoning people so that they can steal their land. Labor hasn’t just rewarded donors to these charities, they are forgoing taxes in order to do so. That means less for public services for Australians.
When MWM reported earlier on these ‘charities’ and asked Labor to take action, Labor said there was nothing they could do.
If you are thinking of voting Labor, do you look at your grandchildren, and think to yourself: ‘If you’ve got any pocket money you should be sending it to Israel and the West Bank to enable murder, rape, pillaging and the theft of a people’s land.’?
There’s not much point asking what’s left of Coalition voters what they think, I suspect they send their children off to school without lunch, telling them to team up with a bully and steal other kid’s lunches – ‘make sure you pinch a nutritious one, no peanut butter sandwiches.’
I can’t find how One Nation voted, but I did find that Fatima Payman voted for the Greens amendment to strip charities funding illegal settlements of those tax breaks. She’s better than any Labor senator, imo.
Itamar Ben-Gvir (Israeli minister of national security): Prime Minister, Prime Minister, these countries have declared an embargo on trade with the West Bank settlements : the UK, France, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
What shall we do?
Netanyahu: Crank up the outrage machine , call them grovelling dogs and antisemites, close their Consulates, all the usual things.
Ben Gvir: But, Prime Minister what about the genocide and ethnic cleansing ?
Netanyahu: Carry on as usual
Thommo
Only half the story of why the Green’s Amendment was defeated in the Senate. The Senate, both Labor, the Coalition and One Nation voted down a Greens amendment introduced by Senator Mehreen Faruqi. The amendment sought to strip DGR status from any organisation funding an “illegal occupation” or supporting settlement expansion. Both the Labor Government and the Coalition opposed the bill, leaving the tax breaks intact. The problem was that Faruqi introduced the amendment to the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997
My understanding is that the Amendment sought by Faruqi was at fault as it sought to amend the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. It proposed revoking the Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status of any Australian organization or charity found to be funding illegal occupations, specifically targeting entities linked to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) or settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The government and the Coalition explicitly maintained that such provisions do not extend to international law, making the Greens’ proposed mechanism outside the scope of current domestic regulatory provisions.
Thommo, I think Faruqi just got the wrong legislation.
Terry is right to illustrate Netanyahu’s cynicism, arrogance and inhumanity, but why isn’t Australia in that list of countries placing embargoes on illegal settlements in Palestine’s West Bank?
SBS apparently reported that Australia declined to join.
Terry,
just because Labor and the Coalition give that as their reason for voting that amendment down doesn’t mean that is the case.
If that was correct, then where is Labor’s legislation to stop Australia from subsidizing the funding of the IDF and illegal settlements in the West Bank?
Is it also your contention that because these ‘charities’ raise funds not just in Australia, but internationally, that our government’s hands are tied and they can do nothing?
How is it that Canada can take regulatory action against these organizations and revoke their charitable status, but Labor’s hands are tied?
These ‘charities’ have funded weapons for the IDF, which is conducting a genocide, according to documents MWM obtained and the UN, respectively. Bollocks to any suggestion that Australia is incapable of stopping these ‘charities’ from exploiting loopholes in our legislation to fund the IDF and illegal settlements in the West Bank.
