What an extraordinary claim by former MP George Christensen, who posted this on X:

They didn’t win your heart. They imported new voters. Albanese flooded Australia with over a million migrants—then rushed thousands into citizenship just in time to enrol them. This wasn’t policy. It was a rigged election in slow motion. 1/12
The post claims that the Albanese government manipulated the 2025 Australian election by increasing immigration and fast-tracking citizenship for thousands of migrants to secure votes. However, there’s no evidence from credible sources that thousands of migrants were “rushed” into citizenship specifically to vote in the 2025 election.
Australian citizenship requires at least four years of residency, including one year as a permanent resident, and the process is rigorous, involving background checks and a citizenship test. Any immigrants who were eligible to vote (as an Australian citizen) in the 2025 election would have arrived in Australia before the Albanese government won office in 2022. It’s simple maths.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) strictly enforces voter eligibility, requiring Australian citizenship and enrollment, with non-citizens barred from voting. The AEC’s manual vote counting and mandatory secondary counts further minimise fraud.
Christensen’s claim echoes sentiments from economist Leith van Onselen, who suggested that high immigration, particularly from India, bolstered Labor’s support, as some migrant communities celebrated Labor’s victory, perceiving the party as softer on immigration. However, van Onselen’s comments don’t substantiate a coordinated effort to rig the election through citizenship grants.
A similar claim appeared in a February 2025 Facebook post by Pauline Hanson, alleging Labor rushed 12,500 citizenships in Western Sydney to sway key seats, but no evidence confirms this scale or intent.
George Christensen’s post lacks evidence for a “rigged election” and oversimplifies voter dynamics (read: the LNP were on the nose). It’s worth noting that such claims often fuel anti-immigration sentiment, as seen in critiques of Dutton’s campaign tactics.
George has history when it comes to conspiracy theories. Too many people will believe him.

Of course it was rigged!
We didn’t win, so someone was doing something to damage our reputations and rightful place as the government of the day.
Let’s blame those immigrants who contribute nothing to our country except bringing in children that look funny and another language that no-one else understands.
Send those evil vote-distorting bastards home!
HOME I tell you …. HOME!
Fat George, the Manila Masturbator and dirty deviate dill never stops lying because he is outfitted with a country party Queensland type defective reject skull. POX.
This man was a politician once – or played at being one in between holidays in Manila? Good grief! What an idiot.
Pretty desperate attempt at a smear. Almost pitiful really.
A desperately stupid man who’s time in the sun is a thing of the past. Unless, of course, he’s back in Manilla. If so, remain there.
Is he promoting insurrection now?

Sad to say, this is true. We can no longer look for a White Knight to protect ourselves from government and corporate overreach. It’s up to each and every one of us to do what we can to protect ourselves.

I know George Christenson is a bloody idiot (well, he’d have to be to join One Nation) but that is sheer unhinged lunacy. Firstly, some electorates with a high proportion of ethnic voters, especially those of Chinese descent, may have voted Labor because of Dutton’s anti-China rhetoric, not because they perceived Labor to be softer on immigration. I know a man who has a wife from China, and yes, 17 years ago, he applied for a fiancé visa for her and married her within six months, which was a condition of the visa, but she had to wait years to become an Australian citizen.
Secondly, Dutton was leading charm initiatives towards India. If Leith van Onsolen is related to Peter van Onsolen, clearly, the apple of stupidity didn’t fall too far from the tree!
I would expect this sort of shit from Pauline Hanson, as she talks more shit than a sewage treatment plan sees.
Is this Georgie Porgie, president and founding member of the Townsville BFC club? He’s my hero.
These pricks have never seen a lie they couldn’t employ.
At first reading I thought, ‘that name rings a distant bell’ then I recalled that George Christensen was dubbed the “Member for Manila” by his colleagues after it emerged he had taken at least 28 trips to the Philippines, spending almost 300 days in that country, between 2014 and 2018.The visits included frequent trips to Angeles City, which is known for its red-light district.
With all his comings and goings, it is surprising that he is not more familiar with our immigration and citizenship regulations.
Terry: He is familiar with immigration and citizenship regulations – didn’t his parents come here as immigrants? But he hopes as usual, to find many information poor suckers who will swallow his lies. Like many others who have learned how to use politics for grifting, he is now adept.
I am surprised he is not continuing in that line. Difficulties with Porleen? Perhaps he gets a parliamentary pension already. Time to move into other pastures. Posting this nonsense will surely increase his following. There are enough suckers who follow him on Facebook already.
Harry, I’m guessing BFC doesn’t refer to boats, fishing & camping?
Canguro…correct guess,collect $200 and pass Go.
Not bad for an alleged active conservative Christian promoting conspiracy theories and lies suggesting immigrants have been committing illegal acts and cause of ‘the great replacement’?
Not even original, the GOP & white Christian nationalists have promoted similar including former Fox News Tucker Carlson (familiar with & channeling the white Oz admirer, John Tanton).
Anglosphere media and politicians have been too easily misled, for two decades into focus on spikey short term medium term border movements ie. NOM or net migration counted into the est. population, mislabelled as ‘immigrants’ (majority depart).
Ignorant that they are temporary residents inc. international students, temporary workers and backpackers staying 12/16+ months; in larger scheme of things, marginal rounding errors.
However, this deflects attention from the real and long term issue in the far larger permanent population cohort which is ageing and driving pop growth through greater longevity.
The boomers and still silent gens are accumulating in the data, evidenced by increasing old age dependency ratios to mid century, then demographic rebalance; if lower NOM then lower GST etc. revenue to budgets vs no tax increases?
Especially an issue in the UK, like locally, governments and media need to reframe these border security & immigration restriction narratives, to focus on long term permanent population and less on the short term ‘border noise’; but governments and media listen to Tanton Network, or become ‘wedged’ (see FoxNews nudging MSM).
On LVO and far right business blog MacroBusiness, it’s very blokish, obsesses about property, immigration, int’l education and attacks the centre not unlike NewsCorp. MB claimed to be partly inspired by US/Bulgarian Zero Hedge blog that promotes Putin & Trump as good, Democrats and the EU as bad.
LVO seems to be a protegé of SusPopAus’ and Australia’s ‘best demographer’ Dr. Bob ‘never seen an immigrant he liked’ Birrell who had contributed to the late Tanton’s journal via TSCP, The Social Contract, uses related climate science denial techniques, according to SPLC:
‘The Social Contract Press (TSCP) routinely publishes race-baiting articles penned by white nationalists. The press is a program of U.S. Inc, the foundation created by John Tanton, the racist founder and principal ideologue of the modern nativist movement. TSCP puts an academic veneer of legitimacy over what are essentially racist arguments about the inferiority of today’s immigrants.
Recent articles in its main product, The Social Contract, have propagated the myth that Latino activists want to occupy and ‘reclaim’ the American Southwest, argued that no Muslim immigrants should be allowed into the U.S., and claimed that multiculturalists are trying to replace “successful Euro-American culture” with “dysfunctional Third World cultures.”’

Perhaps, he, like the golf club paulines, is just a dill, mouthing trump without understanding the difference between the usa and our electoral systems?

I love making up conspiracy theories but I try to have some rational thinking involved.
