Trump pivots from “destroying Iranian civilization” to complete surrender in one day

Even a mentally degraded Donald Trump had to face reality. The US lost the war intended to destroy Iran as a hegemonic rival to Israel in the region.

He cancelled his announced war crimes to “destroy Iranian civilization” and agreed to a two week ceasefire as a prelude for negotiating permanent peace based on Iran’s 10 point peace plan. Note that is not Trump’s 15 point peace plan which would have given Trump complete victory.

Here’s some of what Trump’s ceasefire acknowledges:

  • A guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again.
  • A permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire.
  • An end to Israeli strikes in Lebanon and against Iranian allies.
  • The lifting of all US sanctions on Iran.
  • Iran agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz
  • US to leave the Middle East
  • End to US sanctions on Iran and release of frozen Iranian assets

In his delusional state, Trump announced the cease fire due to his astonishing claim this:

“war has already met and all Military objectives, and we are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning long term PEACE with Iran, and we have PEACE in the Middle East.”

Iran announced the ceasefire “does not signify the termination of the war. Our hands remain upon the trigger, and should the slightest error be committed by the enemy, it shall be met with full force.”

Major hurtles must be overcome before the ceasefire holds and genuine peace can be negotiated. Israel is horrified by this development upending their 4 decade lust to destroy its Iranian hegemonic rival. It’s reported they are still bombing Iran and Iran is retaliating. No keen observer is optimistic the ceasefire will hold.

But it is not likely the US, clearly defeated in every make up war aim they floated to justify criminal war that killed thousands, damaged every US base in the region, brought the worst damage to Israel in its 78 years, and is crushing the world economy, can ever restart this deranged madness.

But with Trump in charge… you can never say never.

  1. Who would trust any agreement signed by Trump? As for Netanyahu, I doubt he is any more trustworthy than Trump, cease fire!! They are still bombing.

  2. Jon Angel, I doubt whether the spiteful bugger has “surrendered” at all. He has said, for the time being, but he and Netanyahu will be rankled that Iran hasn’t just rolled over and died.

  3. How incompetent are these people?

Israel now says that the agreement did not include a ceasefire in Lebanon and Hegseth, this morning, seemed confused as to whether bombing could continue in Lebanon.

We need the United Nations to step in and take over peace negotiations. We cannot rely on an erratic Trump or a warmongering Netanyahu.

We know that Netanyahu has taken the opportunity to cynically annex land in Lebanon while the focus of the world was on Iran. Israel must back-off and get out of Lebanon.

I heard James Paterson on the radio this morning giving the coalition position. Whilst he concedes not having seen the draft cease fire agreement he prefers Pete Hegseth’s interpretation because they are our allies: so let the bombing in Lebanon continue – give me a break!

  4. So could somebody please explain in words of one syllable how members of the ZIONAZI faction of Judaism can simultaneously hold fealty with their nation host state and the principles of ZIONAZI INVASION & INDUSTRIAL SLAUGHTER OF INDIGENOUS PALESTINIAN & LEBANESE PEOPLE to finally satisfy their decades long coveting of the lands claimed for Greater Isrevil between the Nile and Euphrates Rivers.

This question has been too long overlooked in America.

Remember the Persians dragged the Judaism followers away to Babylon in chains after a major military defeat about 3,000 years ago. How does that absence qualify any ZIONAZI as proprietor of any lands in Palestine or Occupied West Bank or indeed anywhere??

  5. This war has been variously described as the “Iranian” war, and the “US-israeli war on Iran”. Both are incorrect.
Iran did not start it. and if bennythe yahoo had not convinced orangebob shitpants to join his bloodlust israel was willing to go it alone and then cry for help. The entire debacle should be titled the “Israeli War on Peace” (part xxx)
The amerkin prez is mentally a lost cause. He should be replaced, and IMHO the only reason that he has not been is that the gop cannot agree to vance as being fit for requirements. Dumpsterboy was supposed to last until after the mid-terms, but has not, so…… What do we do now.
There are two absolutes about Donnyjay.
    1. He is absolutely shite at business. A smaller loss is better than a BIG loss, so…….Making winning deals is just Not Him, so backing down (again) was a dead certainty. We know it. The Iranians know it. The israelis know it, and the septics know it all too well.
    2. He wants his name in Lights. Big, Bright, Beacon on the Hill Forever Etched in Stone kind of lights, and all of the bright, shiny, golden trinketty bits-and-bobs that go along with that. If he can get to call the transformation of one of Planet Earth’s most important trade routes from a free road into a tollway, so be it. The cost of doing bad business, but in his fucked up brain he might still get another concocted piece prize.
While our donny-boy was trying to extract the US from a situation over which it has no chance of ever asserting any control, it’s “opponent” has been made stronger economically and strategically, more united against its common “enemies”, and garnered more sympathy from other nations. The global “financial and security order” has been completely upturned, and China is now seen as the nation of stability and commonsense. And the Middle East middle powers have formed new stratecic alliances, which now include Pakistan and Egypt.
There is no ceasefire. There is a temporary cessation of hostilities so that the resumption of oil and gas through the Starits of Hormuz can be negotiated, hopefully to cause the cost of petrol in the land of the septics to come down before November so that SBShitpants can proclaim another miracle.

Having kicked off this theatre of it’s forever bunfight, the jewish state is now deeply distrssed that it “wasn’t consulted” on the details of what has been agreed.
The ceasefire, two weeks off for re-arming and clearing the guns, is fragile at best.
One of the items on the list is “No more bombing in Lebanon”
The israeli’s are of the opinion that that is not part of the deal, so blowing-upwards and skywards they go. Last night it was Lebanon’s biggest Hospital, and the surrounding areas in a night of unending airstrikes.
When will they stop? And WHERE? The Latani river? The Nile. When Iran is the neighbour state?
If their biggest and most important backer can be cajoled into joining them in a futile military excercise, whenever any other nartion state that supports any of israels supposed threats or offers support to displace populations is ridiculed and decried as being antisemitic, who is ever going to tell the israeli’s to STOP. Enough is ENOUGH
    “We have a Ceasefire”
    Hahahahahahaha.

  6. No, we don’t have a cease fire, its temporary at that and it’s already been broken by Trump and Israel after the great time span of one hour!

It’s obvious to all paying attention that Trump is criminally insane, baited by Netanyahu to do his bidding and someone needs to do something!

We don’t want a martyr however maybe someone who has some nous could put poison in Trump’s food, the crap he eats daily is just that so ‘stuff’ needs to hurry up and get the job done, pronto.

They shoot horses don’t they under the claim of being humane – they just don’t want to spend the money for rehabilitation.

So, how much has been spent on his rehabilitation in the past 12 months?

  7. Here’s another radical thought, violence created Israel, maybe violence will undo Israel.

So, in that regards, history may actually repeat.

  8. @ Bruce:

Hilariously nailed! Yet soooooo depressing to realise we have come to such a cataclysmic pass such that there are no wise international cooperatives remaining in charge with the cojones to rein in this bevy of foul dictators (aside from a few squeaks from Macron of course…).

  9. Meanwhile, back home in Oz,our foreign Minister remains “deeply concerned”…this continuous mealy mouthed shit has aged badly.

  10. It was at first confusing why Iran would agree to a ceasefire after previously rejecting one on the basis that it would just be used for the aggressors Israel and USA to restock armaments – an utterly justifiable stance.

Did the Iranians forsee Israel, and they claim the USA, would immediately break the ceasefire?

Iran is now saying, with justification, that the USA has to choose between Israel and the strait being open to all traffic. Was this the reasoning for accepting the ceasefire, together with US acceptance of Iran’s 10 points amounting to a complete backdown by the USA?

Already Qatar has come out and rightly condemned Israel for its attack on Lebanon, will other nations follow suit? As Harry points out Penny Wong’s response is a mealy mouthed ‘deeply concerned’. How bad do you have to be when Marjorie Taylor-Greene repeatedly makes you look pathetic?

  11. “Did the Iranians forsee Israel”.

    Ok, just a thought.

The Lebanon effort is as bad as anything yet, yet still the oligarchy won’t call off its attack dog Israel. I am just smiling at some of the comments. The sense of frustration is palpable.

  12. @thommo: good questions requiring honest answers, preferably from our political executive.
(note to self: our political executive frequently respond with dishonest answers!)
    My predictions:
    1) Frump and/or Nutter-yahoo will fail to accede to Iran’s 10 point proposals for peace then business, as usual, will resume.
    2) Iran will claim victory as the war continues then the US military will abandon Frump.
    3) Frump will start a sacking campaign to save his own skin starting with Hogsbreath, Patel, Gabbard, even RFK Jr.
    4) Mainstream media will depose both Frump and Nutteryahoo as psychotic tyrants and they will be rejected from office by civil revolution.
    4) Israel will cease to exist as a functional state.
    5) The uniparty system of governance of USA will fail as the empire declines.

  13. Mediocrates, not knowing your background as a forecaster, where would you position your success rate of predictions on a 1 to 10 scale?

Good for humanity if points 4, 4 (again) and 5 came to pass. Both leaders belong, of course, in jail. Are you betting on that as well?

On an aside: If Ben Roberts-Smith gets life for murdering five Afghanis, and if justice were to be truly served, how many lifetime’s jail sentences would Trump & Netanyahu deserve to receive?

  14. @ Canguro:
    I am not a forecaster, I am a dreamer.
As for BR-S: he has been investigated by Military Law for certain matters and he made a claim for slander in the civil courts. Now he is subject to the Criminal Code for murder (associated as a war crime). I think that the courts will be unable to gain incriminating evidence due to time elapsed, distance and access to the scene of the alleged crime and credible witnesses both ADF personnel and Afghani citizens. Who knows? It has taken too long to reach a verdict on all matters. His life is now a wreck.
One lifetime jail sentence each for Frump and Nutter-yahoo will suffice. Community satisfaction will depend on the conditions in the jail.

  15. Trump doesn’t give a damn what Iran’s terms are. They are completely irrelevant to him. He’s shitting bricks about the economic / political effects on the mid-terms, and the GOP coming to get him. No doubt why he has sent JD Vance to the Pakistan meet – it’s likely a prelude to a Trump-blame and wiping him out – soon.

There’s no ‘confusion’ over whether Israel should stop its attacks on Lebanon / Hezbollah – it’s Trump and Netanyahu continuing their farcical lies and vicious deadly ‘Moe & Curly’ act.

Trump, Netanyahu & MBS are all born psychotic haters, losers and crooks. With Trump wanting to call the shots come what may. Together, they’ve blown it big-time. The Gulf states and their US military bases are paying the price for Trump’s lies. And the rest of the world is standing back ring-fencing Trump and inasmuch Netanyahu, MBS and the Gulf states. The US military does not back-in Trump’s lunatic minion Hegseth, and the MAGAts are falling away fast particularly because of Trump’s ‘no new wars’ lie, and the ‘Epstein’ lies (which won’t go away).

Having already looted and extorted Sbillions, in a vain bid to maintain his ‘executive’ stranglehold, and create an off-ramp from his war, TACO Trump, true to form, will construct yet another tissue of lies. He desperately wants a monument, and everyone knows one can’t put brains in a monument.

In transactional desperation he’s already loosened oil sanctions on Russia – nowhere near good enough to relieve the world of his economic moronism. Everyone is waiting. Iran, and their IRGC will be listening and watching like a hawk at the ready. China has brokered through Pakistan, which also serves as a preface to the imminent Trump / Xi face-to-face in Beijing (already deferred once), that’s if Trump still has the guts – he might ICE himself in. (It could be ice or some other toxic stimulant or hallucinogen)

    The questions that remain.

    America:
Will America learn from this, and change its constitution regarding the powers of POTUS? And will America change its electoral donation free-for-all, its Electoral College system and make voting compulsory?

    United Nations:
Will the UN revise the UNSC and it’s ludicrous failed antediluvian veto powers? Will the UN consider reducing vote values for those not ratifying the Rome Statute? Will the UN establish itself in a fully accessible independent state?
