Very traumatic for whom, Mr. Trump?

President Trump recapped his sixth meeting this year with his real boss, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, by stating it will be “very traumatic” for Iran if a nuclear deal isn’t reached soon.

With his vast military armada perched on Iran’s doorstep, Trump’s warning is clear. The US is preparing a massive attack to decapitate the Iranian regime and splinter Iran into a failed state. Of course this has nothing to do with US national security interests. It’s about Israel’s decade’s long demand that its US servants remove Israel’s last hegemonic rival for Middle East supremacy.

When asked about a timeline for Iran to capitulate to every US, Israeli demand that would essentially nullify Iranian sovereignty, Trump said “I guess over the next month. They should agree very quickly.” Netanyahu echoed that delusional assessment stating “The president believes the Iranians now understand who they are dealing with” (and that) “conditions could emerge for achieving a good agreement.”

Trump and Netanyahu know full well Iran will never negotiate away their ballistic missile defense which will devastate both US military forces and Israel itself once Trump launches all out war.

Knowing no deal is possible, Trump and Netanyahu likely spent their 3 hour meeting discussing when and how to destroy Iran militarily. The Israeli news site Ynet, concurred, stating the two leaders discussed military options and that Israeli officials expect the US will eventually attack Iran.

Best we in the peace community can hope for is that someone close to Trump convinces him that the trauma Trump threatens Iran with will boomerang into unfathomable trauma for the US and Israel as well as Iran.

  1. What a pair of despicable people.

Both prepared to start a war of massive destruction so they can avoid jail?

No matter what political backfill is used here for any justification, it’s so immoral to be wholly unpalatable.

As for other saline reasons behind the meeting, Net’s looking for asylum, and so is his buddy.

  2. Both Netanyahu and Trump do not consider that there has been, or still is, a genocide in Gaza. Neither will they deny that there is a military extermination project in place to eliminate children and women (thus any future children) of Palestinian heritage. Therefore both have no hesitation in enabling the Zionist killing machine to do their deadly work in Iran. Women and children will be targeted in Tehran and other principal Iranian population centres and the narrative will subsequently claim that they were “unfortunate co-lateral damage” in the vicinity of “legitimate strategic targets” or some such meaningless psy-babble. Western media will not protest the coming humanitarian disaster but will selectively channel videos to a salivating audience too dumb to comprehend what is really happening.

  3. @ Mediocrates: Agreed ….. this is what happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, and like the massacres in Iran, excused by the White Supremacist ZIONAZIS because stealing Palestine from the Indigenous Palestinian land owners requires those victims to be considered ”less than human and so undeserving of ownership of land coveted by the ZIONAZIS ….. and the international carpet-baggers, including entities linked to TACO Trumpery.

We must remember that the USA (United States of Apartheid) has a too long history of White Supremacy politics, with an unfortunate touch of Social Darwinism AGAINST the voters and everybody else except their own little clique of ”believers”.

  4. Fine, but like most US and Oz media whether RW MSM or indie media, Iran’s ally Russia is ignored and its activity elsewhere inc Europe; Netanyahu, Trump and Putin are if not allies, frenemies, who are cornered…..with a whiff of corruption, authoritarianism, nationalism and faux religious values…..

  5. President Trump called President Isaac Herzog of Israel “disgraceful” because he has not yet pardoned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his corruption trial. Trump, after meeting with Netanyahu for the sixth time since he returned to office couldn’t wait to interfere with the Israeli judicial system by demanding that Herzog pardon Netanyahu.

Netanyahu has been dodging legitimate court action in Israel on charges of corruption and receiving bribes. He claims to be innocent but like Trump he believes he is above the law and seems to think that Trump’s interference could get him a Presidential pardon from Herzog.

We have a lot to be thankful for in Australia not the least being that we have a justice system that is, under normal circumstances, beyond external interference of this sort. That Trump would see it as his role to demand a pardon for his corrupt mate is despicable.

  6. I believe the US will not put US boots on the ground, except to “go behind enemy lines” operations, the cost will be enormous US casualties.
Meanwhileethe Isreali IDF would not do it alone, they do not have anywhere near the numbers.

Trump is facing revolt at home and needs a big distraction so, a massive bombardment, lots of “fireworks” and reports of “mission accomplished” retoric, is the most likely extent of any USA involment, I can emagine.
