In a fiery outburst that could make a reality TV producer blush, President Donald Trump has turned his Twitter-fueled wrath on Fox News, once his media BFF, after their latest poll painted his approval ratings in a shade he didn’t like. The survey, dropped in early June 2025, revealed a grumpy 54% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance, while a mere 46% give him a thumbs-up – a far cry from the adoring crowds he insists are chanting his name.
The real kicker? Only 34% approve of his inflation-handling skills, while 64% disapprove, probably muttering about grocery bills. Seeking vengeance for what he’s sure is a “total hoax,” Trump stormed into his social media comfort zone, blasting Fox News’ polling as “incompetent” and claiming his MAGA faithful “hate” the network (though he tossed a bone to its anchors). Take that, pollsters! This clash is classic Trump: when the numbers don’t shine, he dims the messenger’s lights.
The Fox News poll isn’t flying solo. The New York Times’ average of national surveys pegs Trump’s approval at a shaky 45%, with 53% giving him the side-eye as of mid-June 2025. Inflation remains the economic equivalent of a pebble in America’s shoe, yet Trump swears his support is at an “all-time high,” waving off polls like a kid dismissing broccoli. His go-to move – attack the source, even if it’s Fox News, his former cheerleader – shines through as he insists his election win was “yuge” and his border policies “perfect.” Facts, shmacts.
Social media buzzed with reactions, split like a bad rom-com. Trump’s diehards echo his poll-trashing, swearing he’s more popular than a viral cat video, while others see the data as proof his shine is fading, especially with independents muttering about gas prices. These posts are less gospel, more group chat vibes – colourful but not conclusive. Still, they show Trump’s high-stakes game: projecting unstoppable popularity keeps his political swagger intact.
This Fox News feud isn’t just Trump throwing a tantrum – it’s strategy with a side of drama: Denying low approval ratings is Trump’s way of flexing for the GOP, where popular presidents hold the bigger stick. But picking a fight with Fox News? That’s like dumping your prom date before the dance. The network’s pivot to tougher coverage, including those pesky polls, hints at cracks in a bromance that fueled Trump’s rise.
What’s next for Trump’s presidency? Slamming Fox News might fire up his base, who trust media about as far as they can throw a TV, but it risks pushing away swing voters already shunning his economic playbook. With inflation hogging the spotlight, Trump has to tackle real issues, not just tweet shade. For now, this spat is a reminder: in Trump’s world, loyalty’s king, and even allies get the boot when the numbers don’t bow.

You cannot talk sense to a dummy, or logic to a louse, or decency to a dribbling dud, or civilised discourse to a hunnish harlotty hog, or science to a skunk, or facts to a farting fool, because there is no wiring, channel, no senses, no grey matter, nothing good or useful or deserving.., this Trump is an unwiped arse and just get the paper!! (Nurse, it’s out of bed and yelling at the T V!!)
it is amazing that 45% approve??? Biden was 10% lower,
If what Roswell reports about the polls is accurate and Trump’s response to Fox reporting, then his rebuke is relatively mild (for a toddler temper tantrum) but it seems pretty clear no-one, not world leaders who actually have to deal with him, not his personal advisors, not any one in the GOP and certainly not anyone in the Democrats are going to actually point out that Trump is demented. And why not? Because he’s a vindictive, petty, self-obsessed megalomaniac who is proving that he can visit powerful vengeance on anyone he sees as an unbeliever. Hopefully what appears to be a growing groundswell of opposition to his more stupid policies will put some starch in the spines of those who can do something.
It’s all true, Romeo.
“This emperor has no clothes” A child’s honest observation – a FOX News poll no less – exposes the collective pretence of Trump’s acolytes who refused or were too afraid to recognise the truth, that this Emperor is not only bereft of clothes but is a buffoon masquerading as a world leader and boosted by the MAGA delusion.
Just wait until the tariff consumption taxes start hitting American consumers.
PS: for Twitter read Truth Social, another misnomer !
He uses both, Terry. Though the rants he posts on Twitter are just repeats of what he posts on Truth Social.
