Trump is so anxious to continue funding Israel’s genocide of Palestinians Gaza that he won’t wait for customary congressional approval.
He authorized a mammoth weapons tranche of $6.6 billion to Israel which includes:
- AH-64E Apache Helicopters and related equipment costing $3.8 billion
- Joint Light Tactical Vehicle and related equipment costing $1.98 billion
- Armored Personnel Carrier equipment and related logistics support costing $740 million
- AW119Kx Light Utility Helicopters and related equipment costing $150 million
Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY), the ranking member of the House oversight committee, blasted Trump’s action.
“Just one hour ago, the Trump administration informed me it would disregard congressional oversight and years of standing practice, and immediately notify over $6 billion in arms sales to Israel. Shamefully, this is now the second time the Trump administration has blatantly ignored long-standing Congressional prerogatives while also refusing to engage Congress on critical questions about the next steps in Gaza and broader US policy,”
Trump has no interest in using our tax dollars to fund decent health care, education, affordable housing, green energy, infrastructure; indeed everything needed to uplift the commons. But like predecessor Biden did when Israeli Prime Minister calls for more genocide weapons, Trump listens… then stands and delivers.

Yes. Both Presidents. Genocidal.
Trump is but one man, the population of the USA is 340+ million, those who stand and watch are just as guilty as he that does.
So when Netanyahu waves the Epstein pics, TACO Trumpery jumps into action against the Indigenous Palestinian people??
Why do Australians think that TACO Trumpery is capable of any other action, by choice or necessity, when the products of the Epstein honey-traps are available for threatened distribution by any of the recipients??
Really TACO Trumpery buffoonery makes Clinton’s picadilloes look very kindergarten …..
“I did not have sex with that woman”Said Slick Willie..apparently head jobs don’t count.
Dictator Chump may well stand up and make his own authorisation for money to send military equipment to Israel……………..but that does not mean mean Congress itself cannot deny the expenditure. Surely they just need to grow some kahonas and stand up to him and tell him he is not a dictator who can just do whatever he wants.
Hardly a surprise, yet the Anglo, esp US, faux anti-imperialist tankies of the left were blaming Biden & the Dems for the behaviour of Netanyahu’s regime vs Palestine (se Project Esther)? To the advantageous the three amigos Netanyahu, Trump, and Putin’s invasion of Ukraine by still opposing funds for Ukraine too?
Local tankie counterparts including those with media profiles, who shall remain nameless, present as centre or left by supporting and virtue signaling for Gazans/Palestine (after suddenly switching from anti-Ukraine/EU agitprop), to the blame the centre, ie. Albanese and Wong.
However, we are gaslit when as many filter via America, then they rightly blame America which shouldn’t be followed, yet why should we listen to them and follow them (esp on Europe, Mid East etc.?), including those hanging out with Epstein?
One can link several locals sharing their US & other geopolitical grifters masquerading or acting as muses with Tony Abbott’s chums in Central Europe, same ecosystem of grifters linked to Koch and Tanton Networks vs west and EU?
Suppose easier to look inwards to preserve sentiments and beliefs locally vs cognitive dissonance looking offshore to find that one’s muses are RWNJs or simply grfiters…..
and Russian assets….like Epstein…..
Trump and the Whitehouse war hawks are relocating US military hardware and technology to Zionistan so that the IDF can attack Iran. And of course Trump will come to the rescue when Iran starts to decimate the citizens of Israel in response to Israel’s constant provocations.
No, he doesn’t, not with the implacable GOP sitting in his back pocket.

The US has just imposed sanctions on Francesca Albanese and ICC staff.
When Reuters is angry with the US, you know there’s a problem.
Reuters — Trump’s sanctions on U.N. expert Francesca Albanese and the International Criminal Court froze assets and disrupted war crimes investigations. The clash is part of the broader campaign by his administration to strong-arm allies, enemies and world bodies into toeing the U.S. line.
Albanese and the sanctioned ICC staff now sit on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals list, alongside suspected al Qaeda terrorists, Mexican drug traffickers and North Korean arms dealers.
The consequences for Albanese and senior ICC figures were swift. Their bank accounts were closed and credit cards cancelled. Albanese told Reuters she has had to borrow cards from friends to travel.
After she received threats, the U.N. tightened security for her and her family.

Yes Steve,
Reuters got it 100% right.
Trump’s games of fear, intimidation, coercion and targeted wreckage are deigned to revamp the American hegemon to its new Trumpian rules-based-order, casting a shadow over the ‘west’ (in particular) and its (shakey) allies and enemies alike.
In viewing the goings on, it’s at one’s peril to ignore the massive problems going on in Africa (mostly pumped by the ‘west’ that our msm largely ignores), along with its burgeoning population, which over decades will have ‘white westerners’ pale into insignificance.
This week on ABC RN an Oz academic / expert on international relations & US politics (sorry can’t remember his name nor the program) said, despite the likes of Carney’s call for a redesigned rules-based-order, he believed it would take at least a generation for the world to get past Trump’s ravages (and for America maybe more), and that in the meantime, there would be significant negative economic effects on all, particularly those of the ‘political west’.
Even though there’s India & China and others coming together for a tilt at revising the rules-based-order, and re-strengthening the UN, it’s much easier said than done. So I agree with the estimate of a generation (at least).
Clakka, I was surprised at the tone from Reuters, normally they protect the Empire.
It looks as though they’ve woken up to the fact that this is not a temporary setback, that as you say, it will take a generation or two to overcome the damage.
That’s a long period in which almost anything could happen.
Even the death of liberalism, with any luck. 🙂
