What an extraordinary claim by George Christensen, who posted this on X:

They didn’t win your heart. They imported new voters. Albanese flooded Australia with over a million migrants—then rushed thousands into citizenship just in time to enrol them. This wasn’t policy. It was a rigged election in slow motion. 1/12
The post claims that the Albanese government manipulated the 2025 Australian election by increasing immigration and fast-tracking citizenship for thousands of migrants to secure votes. However, there’s no evidence from credible sources that thousands of migrants were “rushed” into citizenship specifically to vote in the 2025 election.
Australian citizenship requires at least four years of residency, including one year as a permanent resident, and the process is rigorous, involving background checks and a citizenship test.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) strictly enforces voter eligibility, requiring Australian citizenship and enrollment, with non-citizens barred from voting. The AEC’s manual vote counting and mandatory secondary counts further minimise fraud.
Christensen’s claim echoes sentiments from economist Leith van Onselen, who suggested that high immigration, particularly from India, bolstered Labor’s support, as some migrant communities celebrated Labor’s victory, perceiving the party as softer on immigration. However, van Onselen’s comments don’t substantiate a coordinated effort to rig the election through citizenship grants.
A similar claim appeared in a February 2025 Facebook post by Pauline Hanson, alleging Labor rushed 12,500 citizenships in Western Sydney to sway key seats, but no evidence confirms this scale or intent.
Christensen’s post lacks evidence for a “rigged election” and oversimplifies voter dynamics, ignoring broader electoral factors. It’s worth noting that such claims often fuel anti-immigration sentiment, as seen in critiques of Dutton’s campaign tactics.
George has history when it comes to conspiracy theories. Too many people will believe him.

Of course it was rigged!
We didn't win, so someone was doing something to damage our reputations and rightful place as the government of the day.
Let's blame those immigrants who contribute nothing to our country except bringing in children that look funny and another language that no-one else understands.
Send those evil vote-distorting bastards home!
HOME I tell you .... HOME!
Fat George, the Manila Masturbator and dirty deviate dill never stops lying because he is outfitted with a country party Queensland type defective reject skull. POX.
This man was a politician once - or played at being one in between holidays in Manila? Good grief! What an idiot.
Pretty desperate attempt at a smear. Almost pitiful really.
A desperately stupid man who's time in the sun is a thing of the past. Unless, of course, he's back in Manilla. If so, remain there.
Is he promoting insurrection now?

Sad to say, this is true. We can no longer look for a White Knight to protect ourselves from government and corporate overreach. It’s up to each and every one of us to do what we can to protect ourselves.

I know George Christenson is a bloody idiot (well, he'd have to be to join One Nation) but that is sheer unhinged lunacy. Firstly, some electorates with a high proportion of ethnic voters, especially those of Chinese descent, may have voted Labor because of Dutton's anti-China rhetoric, not because they perceived Labor to be softer on immigration. I know a man who has a wife from China, and yes, 17 years ago, he applied for a fiancé visa for her and married her within six months, which was a condition of the visa, but she had to wait years to become an Australian citizen.
Secondly, Dutton was leading charm initiatives towards India. If Leith van Onsolen is related to Peter van Onsolen, clearly, the apple of stupidity didn't fall too far from the tree!
I would expect this sort of shit from Pauline Hanson, as she talks more shit than a sewage treatment plan sees.
