The Justice Department ran afoul of Boss Trump’s deranged obsession totally ignoring right-wing violence while blaming it all on the “extreme left.” Justice’s transgression was posting a study laser focused on the real threat to America, escalating right-wing violence. Left-wing violence was barely mentioned as there is very little.

A recent ADL study of political violence backs up the Justice study. It revealed that of 429 political murders from 2015 through 2024, 76% were attributed to right-wing extremists while just 4% were carried out by the left.

After being taken to the woodshed by Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi had her Justice Dept. release this statement about scrubbing its right wing violence report:

“Notice: The Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs is currently reviewing its websites and materials in accordance with recent Executive Orders and related guidance. During this review, some pages and publications will be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

What did Justice scrub from public scrutiny in the report?

“Militant, nationalistic, white supremacist violent extremism has increased in the United States. In fact, the number of far right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violence extremism.”

Deconstructing AG Bondi’s obtuse, false and dangerous statement reveals what her statement should have told us Americans under threats of violence incited by her boss:

“Notice: The Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs is deleting any mention of escalating right-wing violence on its websites and materials. This is in accordance with President Trump’s demand we must align our research with his position that all political violence be attributed to the extreme left so he can rid America of his left-wing critics. We don’t apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

  1. As Trump is a right-wing extremist himself, it is not surprising that most groups are on his left

  2. Thanks Walt for an interesting article.

Here in Australia, there is sometimes violent clashes between protesters and police, and opposing groups of protesters. It is well-known that if you don’t want to be arrested during a protest, then wear black and chant Nazi slogans. In NSW, under the Minns government, we don’t have green cops on the beat, we have cops that beat the Greens (shamelessly stolen from someone else but I can’t think of who; apologies to the true author.)
